Justin is a seasoned veteran of Mixed Martial Arts; and has trained for five years. He has fought in the top organizations throughout the Midwest including: XFO, Courage Fighting Championships, Shootfighting Challenge, and King Of The Cage. Through hard work and dedication he earned a contract with the WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) in 2007. He now hopes to compete solely at the elite levels of the sport, to challenge the world's best bantamweight fighters.
Justin prides himself on his relentless approach to conditioning, an all important aspect of MMA training. When most fighters become tired and cannot find the strength to battle on, Justin can reach from within to find an extra gear. Additionally, Justin always looks to create new training methods to improve his abilities as a martial artist, including the innovation of existing techniques. Those who have known Justin since childhood can testify to the presence an innate warrior spirit that he possesses, which drives him to new heights in competition.
Word from a warrior… “People often misunderstand who MMA fighters really are. They may think that we are vicious, barbaric people. They may think our sport is just an exercise of pure violence. Yet the truth is that most of us have families of our own, and many intelligent people compete in the sport. Many of us are also very loving people. I use the misconceptions about us and many other things to keep me motivated. I often think about my younger brother, who is a marine, and all the other soldiers serving our country. Whenever I get tired or feel like I can't complete something in training, I think about what would happen if soldiers just gave up, and wouldn't complete a mission because they felt the task was to challenging. I often return to these thoughts and they have pushed me through a lot of tough moments in the cage. I always remember that there is no easy fight, no matter who the opponent is. Anything can happen in this sport and I vow that the next time you see me, if I’m not a world champion yet, I'm working harder than anyone else to get there. Championship belts aren't made of metal and gold. They’re made of blood, sweat, tears, work, and pure GUTS." - Justin Robbins
